One Kilometre
For this project I decided to make a kilometre into a drawing. This still life drawing contains 1 kilometre worth of lines measured in inches. I chose a clock as an object to represent a kilometre because a kilometre is also measured in time. The clock represents the time that passes by in a kilometre.
1 kilometre is equal to 39 370 inches, I measured each line in the clock and the background. I kept a tally of the amount of lines I drew to make sure it would equal to 1 kilometre in inches. I used the cross hatching technique to be able to include the right amount of lines easier.
