Inspired by Buckminster Fuller\u2019s Dymaxion World Map, the unfolded icosahedron has rolled up to form a secret shaded enclosure. Mint, lemon geranium, lavender, and fennel mimic the structure&#8217;s topography and define scented regions upon which to lie. If Fuller&#8217;s map reconfigured standard representations of the world by refusing to define orientation, <em>Dymaxion Sleep<\/em> sets up surfaces on which to relax in different configurations: curled up, stretched out, or piled upon friends.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1234\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/experimentalstudio.ca\/sart-4660-f15\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/11\/3728475420_580084da3c_o.jpg?resize=550%2C400\" alt=\"3728475420_580084da3c_o.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"400\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Dymaxion Sleep<\/em> takes its name from the title of a 1943 <em>Time<\/em> magazine article which describes Fuller\u2019s regimen of polyphasic sleep &#8211; thirty minutes asleep, followed by six waking hours &#8211; a reconfiguration he used to dynamically maximize his body\u2019s productivity.
