She has made appearances across Canada and\u00a0 has represented Canada in the UK, Germany, Senegal, Australia, Cuba, Jamaica and Mexico. Documentation of the performances have been included in numerous exhibitions and festivals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-315\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/experimentalstudio.ca\/sart-4810-4880-w16\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/01\/smallhometownqueen1-1024x682.jpg?resize=863%2C575\" alt=\"smallhometownqueen1-1024x682.jpg\" width=\"863\" height=\"575\" \/>Hometown Queen, pictured above is a series of staged photographs of Miss Canadiana returning to Hamilton, Ontario, Camille\u2019s hometown.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI created the Hometown Queen series to re-write my personal history and to pay homage to my complicated relationship with Hamilton, my hometown. The Hamilton I grew up in was a proud, hard-working steel town with a no-nonsense attitude.\u00a0 On the one hand I admire this city\u2019s fierce resistance to the influence of nearby sprawling full-of-itself Toronto. \u00a0On the other hand, growing up there I witnessed and experienced many incidents of blatant bigotry.
